    Professor Liu Wei-sheng is a chief physician and doctoral supervisor of Chinese internal medicine at the Second Teaching Hospital of the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has long been engaged in clinical practice, teaching, and scientific research, with expertise in the treatment of respiratory and oncological diseases by using an approach that integrates Chinese and Western medical treatments. In 2003, dr. Liu won a prize from the China Scientific & Technological Society honoring his excellent work in the national anti-SARS campaign. In 2004 and 2005, he also won 2nd prize from the State Education Ministry for his clinical study on treating SARS through an integration of Chinese and Western medical approaches.
    Professor Lin Lin is a chief physician and master’s level supervisor at the Second Teaching Hospital of Guangdong Province. She is the director of the Respiratory Department of the hospital, the vice-president of the Chinese Medicine Respiratory Specialty Board of the International Chinese Medicine Association, the director of the Respiratory Specialty Board of the Guangdong Provincial Chinese Medicine Association, the vice-director of the Respiratory Specialty Board of the Guangdong Provincial Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Association, and the Guangdong Provincial Expert Group for Emergency Treatment of Respiratory and Infectious Diseases”. She has rich clinical experiences in the prevention and treatment of COPD, asthma, and pulmonary infections by using TCM. Dr. Lin clinical focus is to maintain the holistic treatment of phlegm, stasis, heat and deficiency, and she has had successive breakthroughs in clinical studies. Dr. Lin has won many awards, including one for young female Chinese scientists, a national 5.1” labor medal, a Guangdong provincial 5.1” labor medal, and a first grade of achievement in anti-SARS work in the Guangdong province.
