Dispersion Compensating Fiber Module DCM 20km LC
Product Description :
Advanced dispersion compensating module (ADCM) can compensate the dispersion and dispersion slope at C-band for standard single-mode fiber(G.652) and the system residual dispersion is optimized.
Dispersion values varying from -10 to -2100 ps/nm at 1550nm wavelength. Other center wavelength and dispersion values are available as requested.
Applications:
- Long-haul telecommunication systems with standard single-mode fiber (G.652)
- DWDM transmission systems
- SDH transmission system
- Cable AM television video systems
- Dispersion adjusting
Features:
-Optimized residual dispersion and broadband dispersion compensation in DWDM system
- Slope compensation of G.652 fiber in C-band (Typical)
- Low insertion loss
- Low Polarization Mode Dispersion
- Features Telcordia GR-2854-CORE qualified
- Reliability Telcordia GR-1221-CORE qualified
-Different package styles, connector types and pigtail lengths available
Dispersion Compensation and Dispersion Slop Compensation To compensate dispersion at a specific wavelength, there is following equation:
DTF×LTF +DDCF×LDCF = 0
DTF: the dispersion of the transmission fiber.
LTF: the length of the transmission fiber.
DDCF: the dispersion of the dispersion compensating fiber.
LDCF: the length of the dispersion compensating fiber.
For dispersion slope compensation, there is:
STF×LTF +SDCF×LDCF = 0
STF: the dispersion slope of the transmission fiber.
SDCF: the dispersion slope of the dispersion
compensating fiber.
By combining the above two equations, we have follow equation to get both dispersion anddispersion slope compensation:
RDSDCF = SDCF / DDCF = STF / DTF
