1) Teardrop step beams are customized components that you need to consult your rack manufacturer for production and stock information.

2) Various beam face sizes, beam lengths, and corresponding load capacities are available for your personal demand.

3) Beam faces step beam, as the name shows, there is a step-shaped configuration in it. The beam face height and width have been marked in the picture below.

4) Pin connectors: accommodating to various beam face sizes, 3 to 4 stud pin connectors will be welded to the end of the step beams for safe upright-and-beam connection.

5) Beam length refers to the neat distance excluding the pin connector parts during measurement. When deciding the proper beam length for your storage racks, pallet sizes will be the first factor to be taken into consideration. For standard pallets with the size of 40" x 48, 96" length beams and 144" length beams are optional with reasonable handling clearance.

6) For step beams of selective pallet racks, the calculation of beam load capacity will always be on the basis of uniformly distributed beams per pair. For safety storage, the maximum beam deflection should be less than 1/180 of the beam length.

7) Teardrop pallet rack beams are mostly engineered with roll-formed steels with different material thicknesses. For example, the commonly used steel thickness includes 14Ga, 15Ga, and 16 Guage.
