The core of silicone leather is silicone elastomer—a polymer material with a Si-O-Si (silicon-oxygen bond) backbone. It is attached to a base fabric (typically polyester or nylon) through coating and calendering processes, creating an interior material with a leather-like texture.
Compared to traditional leather, its key difference is that it contains no harmful substances such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), phthalates (plasticizers), and formaldehyde. Furthermore, the production process uses minimal solvents, making it a "low-VOC" (volatile organic compound) environmentally friendly material that complies with stringent automotive interior environmental standards such as the EU REACH and China GB/T.

Flame Retardancy: Compliant with Automotive Safety Standards
Automotive interiors must pass stringent flame retardancy tests
(such as the national standard GB 8410-2006, which requires a
horizontal burning velocity of ≤100mm/min). Silicone leather
naturally possesses excellent flame retardancy:
It produces no toxic fumes when burned (traditional PVC leather
releases hydrogen chloride gas), and its flames are easily
self-extinguished, effectively reducing the risk of fire accidents.

Applications:
